On February 5th, SBS began a social media campaign, urging Running Man lovers to retweet and use hashtags to urge actress Yoon Eun Hye to appear on the program, attracting thousands of fans to participate in just over two days.
Via Twitter, SBS wrote on the 5th, “Summon #YoonEunHye on #RunningMan campaign! RT summon #YoonEunHye on #RunningMan campaign! RT 10,000 times to get Yoon Eun Hye on Running Man!”, and posted an edited video of several snippets of the show from over the past five years to show that the hot reaction from Kim Jong Kook whenever Yoon Eun Hye’s name is mentioned is still strong as ever. The video then asks, “Yoon Eun Hye, will you come on Running Man?”
In a recent appearance by Kim Jong Kook on Healing Camp, when asked the question if he wished to date Yoon Eun Hye, Kim Jong Kook’s reply of “I wish we had” garnered a hot response from viewers.
This retweet campaign has gained a hot response from fans, garnering over 28,000 retweets of the original post as of February 7th under SBS’ official account, @SBSNOW. A similar hashtag campaign was also started via the broadcast station’s Facebook account with the post gaining over 15,000 comments, 30,000 likes, and 3,000 shares.
The Kim Jong Kook and Yoon Eun Hye love line began over a decade ago via the then hit SBS variety show X-Man, and is one of the longest running television love lines in Korea. No matter the game, the two entertainers would always be paired up, showing their affection for one another in games such as “Of Course (“dangyunhaji”). Despite the cancellation of the variety show, the love line has carried on through other shows and has been mentioned several times on past variety show Family Outing and Running Man.
